As we are required to report to you, attached (below) is the current Consumer Confidence Report for our water system. Yearly, we are required to have our water technician sample, test and report the results of these tests to various federal and state agencies as well as our consumers. Please note that while the report states “2018”, it is the current report based on sampling taken over the last couple of months.
As in the past, our test results demonstrate levels of measured compounds well below both Action Level (AL – where we are required to take action) and the more restrictive Public Health Goal (PHG – CA EPA goal). The report separates the types of potential contaminants into primary – where we as a water company would take immediate action (none detected) and secondary, where the homeowner may address any concerns such as the hardness of the water and other minerals (from natural underground deposits) such as iron, etc. These secondary measures are helpful for those of you installing water softeners and other secondary filtration systems. Your installers may request this information – or – test the water themselves for relative “hardness”/minerals to offset domestic use such as washing or “spotting” of glassware.
