As we all struggle to recover from the destructive impact of the recent Tubbs Fire we are all grateful for the incredible generosity of many within our community who seek only to share our burden and assist us in what ever way they can. As the volunteers who serve on your Riebli Mutual Water System Board, we are pleased to facilitate the exceptional support and benevolence being offered to all of the residents of Hidden Hills by our neighbors Doug and Laurence Allard. Please see separate email (following) from them regarding their offer to make erosion control tools and assistance available to us so we can avoid further damage to our community by preventing the toxic debris at our home sites from being washed into our creeks and watershed by the current and future rains.
The effort and expense that they are investing in our neighborhood is an incredible gesture and we encourage each home owner to make arrangements as described in their letter. Although they have not asked, we are sure that they would appreciate any time you could volunteer in return to assist this massive effort that they have undertaken to benefit both our neighborhood and the greater communities touched by this fire.
Sincerely,
The Riebli Mutual Water System Board of Directors

Hidden Hills Neighborhood Disaster Relief
Dear Neighbor,
Laurence and I would first like to express our heartfelt sorrow for the losses incurred by our neighbors within Hidden Hills and throughout our community.
With the horrors of the fires still fresh in our minds, it can be hard for many to comprehend that the next disaster will be arriving soon, brought by the fast approaching winter rains. Toxins contained within ash and sediment can be carried to creeks and streams, causing damage to our wild life and environment for decades to come.
Prior to selling our business, I had many years of experience in the storm water management and pollution control business developing products and services used to protect our precious waterways. After a short retirement, we had the opportunity to acquire a small part of our old business that produces sediment and erosion control products, namely and primarily straw wattles (those long sausage shaped things you see on jobsites and hillsides).
Please excuse the mess, but we have begun production of straw wattles on our property on Bayberry Drive for distribution to local agencies and in support of our local distribution chain. We are working in concert with the North Coast Regional Water Quality Board to provide sediment and pollution control products to local and State agencies.
Outside of these efforts, Laurence and I would like to offer all of our neighbors within the immediate Hidden Hills area straw wattles and other products needed to protect your individual sites. We will provide 200 lineal feet of straw wattles and wood installation stakes for each property owner at no cost. As each of your properties will have different needs, some with more or less wattle needs, we will be flexible and creative where necessary.
For additional assistance we are directing property owners within and outside the Hidden Hills area to our local distributor, Friedman’s Home Improvement. Please be sure to inquire about their special disaster relief programs.
If needed, we can visit your property to help determine initial needs so you are able to get minimum protections in place as soon as possible. We also have volunteers and a few neighbors that may be able to assist with installation.
Please call Laurence or myself at the below numbers [sent in email to Riebli Water members & available from RMWS Board members] or come by our property. You can’t miss it, given the large amount of activity and straw. Laurence and I look forward to finally meeting all of our neighbors.
Kindest Regards,
Doug & Laurence
